Jennifer Percival RN, HV, MW, Dip counselling, Dip teaching

After an active 25 year career in the UK’s health service Jennifer now specializes helping people to stop smoking. Since 1995 she has worked on a number of health promotion campaigns - both locally and nationally, including the Royal College of Nursing Tobacco Education project and the Department of Health’s media campaign. She is currently the Nursing Standard magazine’s Self-Help Columnist. She is a prolific author of professional articles, books and leaflets on the subject. These include ‘Clearing the Air’ for the Royal College of Nursing and ‘The Role of the Nurse in Tobacco Control and Smoking Cessation’ for the International Council of Nurses. Jennifer teaches smoking cessation, communication and motivational interviewing skills to healthcare professionals across the UK and Europe.
